At TED, the nonprofit behind TED Talks, I manage global partnerships for the TEDx program. TEDx is the platform that grants free licenses for community volunteers in over 170 countries to organize TED-like events at the local level to surface "ideas worth spreading" in communities across the globe.
The Municipal Art Society (MAS) is one of New York City's oldest civic organizations dedicated to the betterment of New York. At MAS, I served as the Manager for Public Events & Community Engagement, where I organized the annual MAS Summit for New York City at the TimesCenter and oversaw the annual Jane's Walk NYC festival of 200+ free community-led walks honoring urban activist Jane Jacobs. MAS public programs champions issues in urban planning, architecture, design, preservation and the arts.
I organized the inaugural “Positively 8th Street” festival for the Village Alliance, a business improvement district for Greenwich Village, Astor Place and St. Marks Place in New York City. “Positively 8th Street” included music, artists, local cultural organizations, and West 8th Street’s unique local businesses.
